Everything you type or save is kept on your device, in the app’s own storage (in your browser’s storage on the website). We cannot see it.

With LoafTime Pro you can turn on Settings › iCloud sync to keep your iPhone and iPad in step. Your starters, feeds, bakes, notes, recipes, discard jar and units are then also kept in your own iCloud account, by Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy — we cannot see them, and they never pass through us. Photos are not synced. Turn it off on a device and that device stops syncing; what is already in your iCloud stays until you remove the app’s iCloud data in your device’s Settings.

Anonymous usage counts, so we know which parts help bakers: when you finish setting up, add a starter, log a feed, mark a peak, plan or finish a bake, rate a loaf, use a calculator or open the Pro page, the LoafTime app counts it with a random install number made on your phone. The counts carry small details such as which recipe or how many loaves — never your name, your email, your photos, your notes or where you are.

You can stop them any time in Settings › Share anonymous usage; turning it off also deletes the counts still waiting on your phone. A test copy of the app, the iPhone Simulator and our own test runs never send any.

If you buy LoafTime Pro in the iPhone app, Apple takes the payment: we never see your card, your name or your Apple ID. RevenueCat, the service that checks a purchase with Apple, receives a random number it makes for this app, what was bought and when, and your App Store’s country — nothing about your baking. We use it only to know whether Pro is on.

In the Android app, Google Play takes the payment in the same way: we never see your card, your name or your Google account, and RevenueCat checks the purchase with Google Play, receiving the same three things.

When you open a page of this website, the page counts the visit: the page’s address on this site, the name of the website that sent you (for example “google.com”, never the full address you came from), the campaign name a link carried (its utm_source), whether the browser is being driven by a script, and a random visitor number kept in your browser. It is not a cookie. The iPhone app sends none of this.

To leave out robots, our own test runs and our own visits, the website looks at your country and your internet address while the page loads, and stores neither. Visitor numbers are deleted after 30 days; after that only daily totals remain.

What you choose to send with “Tell us” (a time that was wrong, an amount that seems off, an idea, or anything else): your message, what it is about (for example “Fed 1:2:2 at 9 am, 72°F → ready about 2:40 pm”) and — only if you type it — an email address so we can answer you. A message with an email address is sent without the install number, so it can never be joined to the usage counts. No photo is ever sent. We do not store the internet address it came from.

Website visitor numbers are deleted after 30 days. Usage counts are deleted after 24 months. Messages you send us are deleted within 24 months of the last reply.

Deleting the app deletes everything it saved on your phone. On the website, clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes the visitor number. Settings › Share anonymous usage stops the usage counts, in the app and on the website.

To have a message you sent deleted, write to us through the Help page and tell us roughly when you sent it.

The app is made for adults who bake at home. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date. We will never start using data in a new way without saying so here first.
